SAC-125Nondirectional beacon helps N1063 wind power installation ship

The N1063 wind power installation ship is the first ship planned by Qidong COSCO Marine Engineering for Cadeler's new generation wind power installation ship fleet. With a deck area of 5,600 square meters and a payload of more than 17,600 tons, this series of wind power installation vessels uses hybrid power and can transport and install 7 complete 15MW wind turbines or 5 wind turbines of more than 20MW, making it the world's most advanced and environmentally friendly offshore wind power installation vessel with the highest technical specifications. The ship is equipped with SAC-NDB to guide the helicopter along a predetermined route, approach or departure, from one beacon station to another; Provide security for helicopter landing and departure flights.

Antenna Tuning Units (ATU) are used as a coupling between the transmitter and antenna.   These are required to achieve and maintain proper tuning for your antenna, and are used on all NDB and DGPS systems.

All antenna tuning units include automatic phase matching (tuning) for the antenna system.   Some models also include automatic resistance matching, to maintain an ideal 50 Ohm match through any environmental change the antenna may experience.   The ATU must be installed near the antenna to ensure a short connection length.   Due to this, all of our ATUs are either IP66 rated or designed to meet this standard to enable outdoor installation.

The SE125 Dual is a 125 Watt transmitter with a fully redundant automatic backup system.  It is available in either an outdoor rated IP66 enclosure or a rack mount for indoor use.  The standard frequency band is 190 – 650 kHz, with additional frequency options of up to 1800 kHz.

The SAC MR-5 Monitor Receiver with Loop Antenna fulfills FAA requirements for “off the air” monitoring for non Fed instrument approaches.

The directional beacon works in the frequency band of 190 ~ 1750kHz, and works with the airborne radio compass to determine the relative azimuth Angle between the aircraft and the navigation station, and guide the aircraft to fly, homing and landing along the scheduled route. The terrain features that reflect, rereflect and absorb electromagnetic waves in and around the site of the non-directional beacon station will interfere with or affect the normal reception and direction finding of the airborne radio compass, resulting in orientation errors, pointer wobble and navigation coverage reduction.
