FURUNO FAR‑2018MK2 & FAR‑2338‑NXT Radars Support Hailong 106

The Hailong 106 is a pipelaying and heavy‑lift vessel. It is capable of pipelaying operations at a water depth of 300 m and lifting up to 3 000 tons. The vessel measures 167 m in length and 46 m in breadth, with a maximum operating draught of 8.7 m. It is fitted with internationally advanced S‑type pipelaying systems, including pipe roller conveyors, two 100‑ton constant‑tension tensioners, one 200‑ton constant‑tension pipe‑retrieval and abandonment winch, automatic welding stations, automatic ultrasonic testing equipment, and other key equipment. The vessel is also equipped with a 3 000‑ton marine heavy‑lift crane, a 12‑point high‑holding‑power mooring system, and six 50‑ton deck cranes. It can accommodate 310 personnel. Classed by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), the vessel is permitted for unrestricted worldwide navigation except for the Arctic region. Its overall technical performance and comprehensive operational capabilities rank among the leading engineering vessels of its kind both domestically and internationally.

Currently operating in Malaysia, the vessel required an upgrade and refurbishment of its radar system. Our company promptly mobilized products and manpower, and completed the radar retrofitting work in Jakarta, Indonesia in compliance with specifications, on schedule and to the required quality standard, earning recognition and positive feedback from the shipowner.
