Upgrade of the Deep Dive Helicopter Deck Monitoring System (HMS)

The 'Deep Dive' is China's first self-built deep-sea work mother ship with the capability of conducting 300-meter saturation diving operations. The 300-meter saturation diving system on board is composed of a living cabin, a transition cabin, a diving bell, and a life support system. The helicopter deck is equipped with the OBSERVATOR HMS3.0 system, which aims to provide comprehensive meteorological data for the takeoff and landing of helicopters, thereby ensuring the safety of the helicopters and the personnel.

Compared with the previous version, HMS 3.0 is designed to be more compact and based on the Observator OIC (Meote link) principle. Various sensors can be directly connected to the central processing unit, which means that the wiring is reduced in installation, significantly lowering the cost for users.

The OBSERVATOR provided HMS 3.0 can form interfaces with various meteorological probes, including wind direction, wind speed, aircraft deck pressure, horizontal surface pressure, temperature, humidity, visibility, dynamics, cloud height, wave height, status lights, etc. The OBSERVATOR provided HMS 3.0 has been widely used in drilling platforms, FPSOs, buildings, helipads, wind farms, and various types of ships. The OBSERVATOR HMS 3.0 is based on the latest CAP-437 requirements, namely the standard for offshore helicopter landing areas, version 9. Additionally, this system also complies with the latest requirements of the helicopter platform certification agency (HCA) described in the Rev9C of the standard helicopter platform monitoring system.

The meteorological sensor product line of Observator is very diverse. The core features can be summarized as follows: designed for different application scenarios, generally featuring high precision, resistance to harsh environments, support for multiple output methods, and optional heating function.
